What kind of tracks can I upload?↓
WAV, MP3, or AIFF — any format works. The track should be a finished or near-finished mix. Stems and rough sketches can work, but full mixes give the most accurate fingerprint since we're reading energy, width, and spectral texture across the full frequency range.
Can I upload a demo or unfinished track?↓
Finished mixes give the most accurate fingerprint since we're reading energy, width, and spectral texture across the full frequency range. Rough drafts and demos can work, but expect match quality to reflect mix quality.
How is this different from SoundCloud or social discovery?↓
Follower counts, plays, and algorithmic promotion don't factor in at all. ID matches purely on acoustic similarity — two producers with zero followers and 50,000 followers rank identically if their sound vectors are close. We're a tool, not a platform competing for attention.
How many matches do I get?↓
Free accounts get up to 5 matches per upload — 3 from within your subgenre and 2 discovery picks from adjacent sonic territory. Pro and Studio tiers unlock expanded match pools, saved history, and API access.
Is my track stored, and can I share it?↓
Your track is stored as an MP3 on your profile. Free users can share files directly with matched producers with a monthly limit. On Pro and Studio plans, we use DEMUCS to separate your track into vocals, bass, drums, and other on-platform — no exporting, no third-party tools. Your raw audio is only accessible through your own ID page.
What does the sonic fingerprint actually measure?↓
BPM, musical key, energy, danceability, stereo width, sub-bass weight, harmonic complexity, spectral brightness, groove, and a 512-dimensional semantic embedding from a model trained on audio description. Together these form a vector that captures how your track actually sounds — not what genre box it fits in.
